NOTICE OF TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE - ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - Congleton Lane, Withington
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic as follows, install cable for new services. Prohibition of traffic - Congleton Lane. Withington - From the junction with Holmes Chapel Road to outside the sub station
The alternative route will be via Holmes Chapel Road, Chelford Roundabout Chelford Road, Congleton Road, Mill Lane, Congleton Lane and visa versa which is considered the most suitable route. The closures will be in place 24 hours a day
This order will come into operation on Tuesday 14 April 2020 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 5 June 2020.

NOTICE OF MAKING (Old Market Place, Knutsford) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that on 18 March 2020 Cheshire East Borough Council made an Order under Sections 1,2 and 4, and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers and in accordance with its duly under Section 122 of the said Act.
1. The effect of the Order, which will come into operation on 6th April 2020, will be to introduce a prohibition of waiting by vehicles at all times on all days on the following lengths and sides of road;
Old Market Place, Knutsford (west side) - from a point 75 metres west of its junction with Moorside for a distance of 20 metres in a northerly direction.
2. A copy of the Order; a map showing the restricted areas; a statement of reasons for making the Order, a copy of this public notice and a copy of the public notice of the proposal to make the order may be examined during the usual office hours of Cheshire East Borough Council, Westfields, Middlewich Road, Sandbach, CW11 1 HZ and at Knutsford Library, Toft Road, Knutsford, WA16 0PG.
3. Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or any requirement of the Act or an instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
