I'm fed up of cleaning off dog mess in Castle

I AM fed up with dog mess on every street corner and I have been living in Castle for 12 years.

On the way to school, I stand in it and takes hours to come off and stinks and makes me want to throw up.

I’m fed up with it in Castle, there is never a mess-free corner and I’m really fed up because I always have to clean it off myself.

It's the same everywhere... I've often thought of buying several dogs and taking them to the offenders homes and letting them dump right outside their gates... but I hate dogs so it's a no-go...lol.

Unfortunately there are a growing number of dog owners that take no responsibility for their animals. They think its great to own the dog but dont want to clean up after them. Dogs are very rarely seen out on their own so presumably most of the mess happens right in front of the owners eyes and they just walk on and leave it for someone else to step in or to clear up.

Unfortunately the only way to improve things is to tighten up on just who is allowed to own a dog.

Maybe it's time to reinstate the dog licence, and maybe go further and to have compulsory basic training in dog ownership and compulsory chipping with any unchipped dogs taken off their owners.

I know this all sounds quite harsh and over the top but I am sick of seeing dog mess on our pavements and sickened by the stories of children being attacked by the types of dog that are not suitable for keeping as pets.

Just another thought, not so long ago I had a problem with regular dog mess on the corner near to my house.

I used this website (http://www.fixmystr
eet.com/) to report the problem and was pleasantly surprised to receive follow ups from the council regarding the problem. You navigate on the map to where the problem is and report it. Dog Fouling is one of the issues the website is intended for.

im afraid your wasting your time. it would be easy to sort out this ever growing problem with dogs, by having a system along the lines of the tv license, owners should be made to register with a local vet,and all dogs should be neutered,so no breeding at home can happen.only registered pet shops should be allowed to sell them,to make sure they are registered.however there is no will to get a grip on the situation as dogs (and all pets) have become a multi million pound industry, and as we all know, money comes before anything these days, even peoples safety.

Put a microchip in every dog, and take its DNA at the same time. Then whenever some lazy owner can't be bothered to pick up the mess, match the DNA, and send the £1000 fine in the post.

I have 2 dogs and always clean up after them. Its absolutely disgusting that others don't and should be fined. I would like to follow anyone home and dump it on their doorstep. You regularly find dog mess on the open grass areas, this is where children (maybe theirs) play. Its just gross
