Winsford showman site should be left free for jobs

I HAVE read with great concern the correspondence and articles about the provision for traveller and showman’s sites in Cheshire, Guardian, February15.

My particular interest is the proposal to create a travelling showman’s site on Winsford Industrial Estate on land which is designated for industrial expansion.

If the proposal goes ahead, it would prevent the creation of future jobs.

In the current economic climate, I sincerely hope that Cheshire West and Chester Council would not proceed to establish a residential site on land which is clearly earmarked for future employment.

Our Estate employs 3,500 people across 120 companies, and it is imperative we do all we can to maintain the progress and regeneration.
