A lot to answer for...

I NOTE the comments by WH Seward (August 6) on George Mather’s earlier letter on his support of the BMP.
Mr Seward would be more than surprised to hear the support that many of those who, along with his father, fought in the last world war, and in others since, (Korea, Malaya etc) who now see themselves as second class citizens in the land they fought to keep free.
The writer talks of persecution on race or religion, so what do we have in our own situation?
The Governments of Thatcher, Blair/Brown, along with the PC and liberal brigade have a lot to answer for.
