REGARDING the story about six new detached properties being built at Grange Farm.

This is the price that we, in towns and villages, are paying in order to protect the green belt.

Personally, I think that it is becoming too high a price.

Every little piece of green in developed areas is liable to be used.

If you look at the development at Winnington, it surely would have put less strain on local infrastructure and further enhanced local amenities if it were returned to the undeveloped river valley that it once was.

Instead the A49 corridor from the M56 to Acton Bridge could accept tens of thousands of very nice houses with excellent transport links and decent views.

Why are we being forced to live in less and less space?
