THIS week my journey by rail from Hartford to London Euston took two hours and 10 minutes, and two hours and 15 minutes return.
So who on God’s earth decided that a high speed train costing billions of pounds that would reduce the time by a further 10 minutes?
On top of the misery that is currently being inflicted on those whose homes are directly on the track route and whose same homes will be compulsory purchased I ask why.
Of interest is that Euston Station will be closed completely for two weeks in August with work, I am told, related to HS2, what a headache for workers that is going to be.
