HAS anyone noticed what is missing outside Asda in the new Barons Quay development?
There are steps to get to Sainsbury’s and the top of Witton Street, but no access for wheelchair users or prams.
I thought it was the law to provide access for people with disabilities, but the only way I can see is a real hike up the side and around the back of the new units with the ‘living wall’.
This is an awfully long way, if they have problems getting up steps, walking or use a wheelchair, but it is the only route available.
Knowing all the money that has been spent on this development, surely something more suitable could have been provided.
There is a ramp provided from Matalan down to Sainsbury’s, so why is there not one at the Barons Quay development?
