IS anyone out there getting as fed up as I am with the constant Pro EU letters in the Guardian from Dr Peter Hirst?

I don’t know what his doctorate is in, but I doubt it has anything to do with a sound knowledge of public opinion.

I am not going to go into the financial arguments in Brexit, I know that we managed quite well before we entered the Common Market and it is a great big world out there. It is also well covered in the media.

As is immigration, what on earth the Labour Party and Corbyn are playing at I don’t know.

They are the so called protectors of the working classes, whatever they are these days. Staying in the EU is not a socialist thing unless there is a gravy train job possibility.

The lower paid that the Labour Party should be caring for are seeing their jobs go to foreigners, housing going to immigrants while their adult children live at home. They cannot move to another area to get the kids a good school, they are not interested in cheap nannies and cleaners etc.

Leaving the EU is strongly backed by such organisations as the Socialist Worker newspaper which actually does a great job exposing the Remain campaign’s lies.

The new alliance formed from the rail union RMT, Trade Unionists Against the EU, the Communist Party of Britain, the Indian Workers Association (GB), the Bangladeshi Workers Council of Britain, Scottish Left Leave, Counterfire, The Marxist Party of Great Britain and the Socialist Workers Party.

Other trade union, socialist and workers’ groups are expected to come and join LEXIT in coming weeks.

So there Dr Hirst is another new name for you, LEXIT. I just really cannot believe that Jeremy Corbyn is so comfortable at the moment being one of the aforementioned extreme left wingers. Or for that matter, the out of touch leaders of the TUC.

Why would anyone want to be led by an unelected group of failed politicians who flagrantly waste our massive contribution and who cannot even get their accounts signed off ?

It only takes a sensible person in a pub to explain that when we leave we will rapidly be followed by other countries whose people are fed up with this shower of unelected, unelectable and dangerous people coming in.

I have always voted Conservative but will not while Cameron leads it, the man has destroyed his party with his Project Fear that most of us laugh at.

We know that the majority of Tories want out but what of the Labour MPs? Let’s have a few for instances.

Recent academic research by Durham University and the University of East Anglia have shown just how out of touch the Labour Party are from their grass roots electorate and gives the findings in a few constituencies of Labour MPs, the vast majority who are for staying in.

Tristram Hunt, Stoke Central, is a strong supporter of staying in the EU, but 56 per cent of his constituents favour Brexit.

Yvette Cooper, Yorkshire, arrogantly supposes her constituents want to remain, yet 63 per cent want Brexit.

Labour’s extreme left deputy leader Tom Watson, West Bromwich East, is an ardent Remain campaigner but 65 per cent want Brexit.

So stay clear of the project Fear statistics Dr Hirst, the man on the Clapham Omnibus would rather see it as it is.
