Nathan Fillion is eager to know what the Brits will make of his new crime drama Castle.
The first series of the hit US show begins on Alibi in April and the former Desperate Housewives actor is keen to know what we'll make of the programme's dry wit.
"The British are very funny and a very particular group, I like to think," Nathan said ahead of a special Q and A with fans of the show at the Paley Centre for Media's PaleyFest 2010 in Beverly Hills.
"If it does well I'll be very happy about that," he laughed.
Nathan plays Richard Castle, a crime writer, who is called on by homicide detective Kate Beckett (played by Quantum Of Solace actress Stana Katic) to help her solve copycat murders based on his books.
According to the actor, the couple's chemistry is one of the big hooks.
"We understand that at the same time these two are diametrically opposed and yet incredibly attracted to each other. The closest that they'll come to admitting they're attracted to each other is when they're solving mysteries.
"Castle is a little abrasive, he's actually not Beckett's style and at the same time she's a fan of his work. She just can't believe it's such a ridiculous man responsible for such great work that she's really a fan of."
:: Castle will be screened on Wednesdays at 9pm from April 7 on Alibi.
