Why should I watch..?
Winsford have their sights set overtaking sides in front of them, and can climb the table to fourth position if they can record a fourth away win of the campaign.
Blues have travelled well in recent weeks too, collecting seven points from their past three trips.
Irlam has proven to be a happy hunting ground too for sides from mid Cheshire after both Northwich Victoria and 1874 Northwich recorded wins at Silver Street in the past 10 days.
The home team has lost momentum as a result, losing three of their past four games in all competitions.
However Winsford boss Lee Duckworth was at Sandbach last Wednesday to see Irlam proceed in the Macron League Cup following a 3-2 win.
What they’ve said
“Irlam are always a difficult opponent; they’re tough, strong and don’t lose too many at their place.
“There is a great incentive for us though; if we can record a victory, and that’s what we’ll head there hoping to achieve, then we can return to the table’s top-four.
“That would be a boost for us.”
Lee Duckworth, Winsford United player-manager
Numbers game

Man to keep an eye on
Scott Taylor
Has impressed after coming off the bench in each of Blues’ past two matches, helping his side to come from behind to beat Barnton and then draw with Squires Gate.
Has been restricted by injury to only five starts in league and cup this season, but can be a match-winner.
Winsford team news
Danny Kerr is still unavailable after helping the UK Armed Forces’ team to victory in the Kentish Cup last week.
Front man Jordan Johnson (knee) is still ruled out by an injury, although Michael Koral and Scott Taylor are pushing for a start after appearing as second-half substitutes on Saturday.
Defender Chris Middleton has left to sign for New Mills.
