Why should I watch..?

Winsford will be attempting to replicate their stunning FA Cup form in the league following a 6-1 win at former league rivals Alsager last Saturday.

That followed a fine 2-0 victory at Runcorn Linnets the previous Tuesday.

Bootle have suffered back-to-back defeats, at Squires Gate in midweek and at Pontefract Collieries in the FA Cup, so will be keen to return to the form that saw them put six goals without reply past Barnton and Ashton Athletic the previous week.

Numbers game

Winsford haven’t won any of their past four league meetings with Bootle - their most recent success was almost three years ago in October 2013.

Blues have been better on the road so far this season, returning as victors from trips to Staveley, Runcorn and Alsager.

Man to keep an eye on

Nathan Cotterell

Blues’ front man is in red-hot form after scoring five goals in their first four matches this term, including a brace in last Saturday’s success.

His partnership in attack with captain Kyle Riley is one to watch in the weeks ahead.

Winsford team news

Adam Bayley (ankle) is definitely out after sustaining ligament damage during the first half of last weekend’s FA Cup win at Alsager.

Attacker Ryan Mellor (hamstring) is closer to a return, but not yet ready.
