Six Blackheath & Bromley athletes have been selected for the Great Britain Junior team for the Loughborough International this weekend. Shaunagh Brown goes in the discus while second claimers James Groocock and Jade Dodd are chosen for the long jump and javelin. James Alaka, Funmi Sobodu and Anike Shand Whittingham have been picked for the sprint relays.
In addition Ed Harrison has received a call up to the England team for the 400 hurdles and the 4x400 metre relay. Scott Huggins has been chosen to represent Scotland in the pole vault while Montell Douglas is expected to lead the British Universities team.
Alex AlAmeen and Simon Merrill have both been invited to take part in a special under 20s 110 hurdles and a number of other B & B athletes are expected to take part in the accompanying programme.
