MIDDLEWICH Town are still seeking their first Cheshire Football League victory of the new season.
They did pick up a point on Saturday as Sam Jackson’s equaliser five minutes from time earned them a 1-1 draw with Billinge at Seddon Street, but they remain bottom of the Premier Division table.
While Saturday was still not the victory they crave, it was a big improvement on last Wednesday’s 5-0 home defeat to Knutsford.
Liam Moran scored twice for the visitors, for whom further goals came from Liam Crellin-Myers, George Riley and Shane Davies.
The Witches are in cup action on Saturday as they host Old Alts in the Cheshire FA Amateur Cup, kick off 3pm.
