KINGSLEY can thank Hayden Lanza for the huge part he played in their first 25-point win of the season.

His 49 runs led the way as the hosts assembled a 162 total that Cheadle Hulme would have fancied chasing down.

Toby Mullins (27) and Travis Martin (20) were next best with the bat.

Lanza then scalped three of the top-five Cheadle batsmen with less than 40 runs posted and although Sohaib Abbasi (50) provided something of a recovery he proved to be one of four to fall to Adrian Burden before the visitors were shot down seven runs short.

Also in Division One, Barnton suffered a heavy defeat at Haslington.

Batting first, Paul Coot (11) and Aidan Malley (12) looked solid enough early on but after they followed each other to the pavilion in quick time Barnton struggled to gain the initiative.

Neil Langham (19no) scored highest in 73 all out.

Andy Leese gave Barnton hope with 3-24 inside 10 overs but Haslington suffered no further losses en route to victory.

Jonny Wales took seven Middlewich wickets to steer Winnington Park home in Division Two.

Wales (7-43) had support from Michael Dunning (3-32) as Middlewich were held to 166, after openers Matt Allen (62) and Matt Ryan (35) had given the hosts a good start.

Park’s top four, Tyron Young (38), Sam Barnes (42), Phil Amatiello (32), Darren Falland (32no), delivered with the bat as the total was knocked off in the 43rd over.

Oakmere’s Nick Guest (4-41) and Joe Roddis (4-46) helped tie down Woodford to 157 in Division Two.

Slade Mitrovich (82) had a blast with nine fours and three sixes as Oakmere achieved 158-3 inside 37 overs.

Winsfod were all out for 88 as they failed to hunt down Audlem’s 215-8 in Division Four.

Mark Skellon (24) and Ben Crellin (3-48) were their best performers.
