WINSFORD A got their campaign back on track last week when they recorded a convincing home victory against Hartford E.

A 7-1 win, with Mike Johnston, Mark Abbiss, Alex Lerczak and Damian Cookson on court at Knights Grange, keeps alive their hopes of challenging for promotion from South and Mid Cheshire League Division Two.

They visit Hartford F tomorrow, Thursday.

Winsford B are continuing to find the going tough after stepping up a level, and lost 6-2 at Nantwich D.

Chris Mayoh, Chris Murdie, Steve Harris and Steve McCormack made up their quartet.

Meanwhile an 8-0 reverse at Wistaston A on Tuesday leaves them bottom of the Division Three table.

Winsford C battled hard at Holmes Chapel C in Division Five before falling to a narrow 5-3 defeat.

Harris and McCormack were joined by Bill Lawrie and Gary Foster in the visitors’ line-up.

They sit fourth in the standings, two points adrift of early leaders Alsager B.

The club’s senior members meet for practice every Monday at Knights Grange, from 6pm.

Meanwhile sessions for junior players will take place at the same venue on Wednesday evenings throughout the summer.
