WINSFORD A slipped into the South and Mid Cheshire League top-flight’s relegation zone after following their latest loss.

A narrow 5-3 defeat at Hartford C, where Alex Lerczak, Chris Knight, Simon Nuttall and Mark Abbiss were on court, means they swap places in the Division One table with their rivals.

They take on Congleton A, the defending champions, on Thursday.

Winsford B have risen to third in Division Three as a reward for back-to-back victories.

Damian Cookson, Martin Stoilov, Chris Mayoh and Chris Mundie were on duty for a 7-1 win at Acton Bridge A.

Improving Winsford C celebrated a success for a second successive week when they edged out Holmes Chapel B in Division Four.

Steve McCormack, Mike Bee, Steve Harris and Bill Lawrie made up their quartet for a 5-3 home win that propels them from the foot of the table.

Meanwhile Winsford D shared the spoils with third-placed Wistaston C in Division Five following a 4-4 draw.

They once again fielded a youthful line-up with junior trio Alex Toomey, Ryan Penn and Lewis Penn joining Steve Harris.
