WINSFORD B hope to extend a winning sequence to four matches in the South and Mid Cheshire League when they visit Holmes Chapel A tonight.

A 5-3 win against Goostrey A last time out, when Mike Barton, Damian Cookson, Chris Mayoh and Martin Stoilov were on court, earned them a share of the lead with Cuddington B in Division Three.

Winsford A are continuing to adjust on their return to the top-flight, losing 6-2 at home to Hartford B on Thursday.

Alex Lerczak, Chris Knight, Simon Nuttall and Mark Abbiss were the quartet on duty at Knights Grange.

A trip to Hartford A awaits tonight.

Meanwhile Steve McCormack, Mike Bee, Ryan and Lewis Penn turned out for Winsford C, who were whitewashed by their hosts Congleton D in Division Four.

Winsford D collected a first point since making their debut in the competition last month, sharing the spoils with Acton Bridge B following a tie.

Steve Harris, Alex Toomey, Daniel Eagle and Craig Rose featured in a 4-4 draw.

Winsford’s mixed team registered a first victory at a higher level when they won 7-1 at Congleton B on Sunday.

Lerzcak and Knight joined forces with Jackie Penn and Julia Kimpton for the visitors, who host leaders Nantwich A next weekend.
