ADAM Evans’ wait to follow-up a debut professional win will continue after his opponent sustained an injury ahead of a fight scheduled for last Friday.
A replacement was lined up, only for him to withdraw from the bout as well.
It leaves the 24-year-old, who lives in Winsford, still unable to improve on an encouraging debut victory six months ago.
“Adam has had a run of bad luck with stuff like this,” said Geoff Hunter, his manager.
“We were all devastated, but unfortunately that is a part of pro boxing.
“He’s a talented guy who is looking to develop a career and a local fan-base, and we’re working already on a plan to get him back into the ring again.”
Evans, a light welterweight, celebrated a victory on points against Matt Seawright after switching to the professional ranks last year.
