WINSFORD Tennis Club can celebrate a clean sweep of promotions after their mixed team reached the end of the South and Mid Cheshire campaign unbeaten.
Their quartet, consisting of Julia Kimpton, Alex Lerczak, Simon Nuttall and Jackie Penn, recorded back-to-back whitewash wins – at Cuddington C and Nantwich C – to secure top spot in Division Two in their maiden season together.
They won 10 of their 12 matches.
The Knights Grange-based outfit’s three men’s teams have already been promoted as champions from their respective divisions.
Winsford are running hour-long practice sessions for junior players during the school holidays.
Boys and girls can work on their game every Tuesday and Friday, from midday, until the end of August.
