Crellin scalps six as Winsford book ticket to final
WINSFORD progressed to the Cheshire Cricket Alliance T20 Knockout final courtesy of a seven-run victory over Pott Shrigley on Sunday.
Craig Webb (44) and skipper Mike Dickenson (39) led the way before Winsford were bowled out for 104 in the 17th over.
Winsford’s bowlers delivered, with Ben Crellin (6-14) shining as Pott Shrigley could only manage 97-8 in response.
Winsford were perhaps buoyed by the previous day’s win over Holmes Chapel by 100 runs in Division One.
Dickenson (76) was again to the fore, while Andy Cooper chipped in with 52 in 218-4 for the hosts.
Chapel were bowled out for 118, with James Tierney taking 5-32.
