COBRAS’ place in the Mid Cheshire Super League’s top flight has been confirmed following the final round of qualifying matches.

They are part of a seven-strong line-up that also features defending champions Leopards, who completed a clean sweep of wins in Group One with a 9-1 demolition of lowly Wolves.

Ray Worthington was unbeaten for Sparks, who proved too good for Raptors, while Victoria closed their qualifying campaign with an 8-2 success against Team Hut.

Peter Morley and Martin Thomson avoided defeat on the night for the Holmes Chapel-based victors.

Blades secured a spot in the Super League’s second tier for the first time following a 6-4 success against Rangers.

Andy Woodyatt’s unblemished performance for the latter provided only consolation.

Winsford’s whitewash of Kinetics ensured they finished fourth in Group Two, while Valiants’ defeat of Snakes by the same score means they claim the remaining place ahead of Bears.

Hawks finished top of the pile with nine wins, the latest a 10-0 hammering of Falcons.
