A WINSFORD charity has developed a new project to help get more volunteers in the town.
Connect is a new project funded by Vinspired for the Winsford Community Action Project (Wincap) and will be run from The Winsford Centre on Cheviot Square.
The aim is to provide volunteering opportunities for young people aged 16-25 and get them involved in their community.
The project provides a wide range of opportunities, dependable on individual interests and personal skills.
The opportunities range from music, administration, fundraising, events and festivals, youth work and web design.

The Winsford Centre is also having a Fun Day this Saturday and Sunday from 1pm-6pm both days at Cheviot Square.
Entertainment will range from a stage with live local bands, stalls, competitions to enter such as karaoke at the Salty pub, Fancy dress for dogs', beat the goalie with Winsford United's goalkeeper, Michael Langley, and a bouncy castle.
Wincap was first established as a charity in 1997. Its main aim was to contribute to improving the quality of life for the inhabitants of Winsford - in the main though the distribution of small grants to support community groups and voluntary organisations in the area. WINCAP's grants for community group's scheme was funded by Cheshire County Council between 1997 and 2002.
