FOR all those fans of the Mid Cheshire Operatic Society who are wondering what has happened to this year’s show, there is bad news and good news.

The bad news is that there will be no show this year as Katie Hart, the star due to play Calamity had a calamity of her own when she recently dislocated her shoulder. The good news is that she is now fully fit and rehearsals are again in full swing.

However instead of the show being on in November this year it has been put back to January of next year. I can confirm that having seen some of the rehearsals this show is going to be one of the society’s best. All the leads are exceptional and even with the return of William H Seward, the chorus still sounds great. I hear he mimes a lot!.

More news on when and where the show will take place will be available in the next few weeks.
