IT WILL be fun and frolics in Winsford this weekend at Holy Trinity Church’s Annual Field Day.

The event is on Saturday in the church field, in Station Road, and revellers can look forward to a procession, displays from the Trinity Line Dancing Group and dancing troupes the Buckley Belles, the Hilltones and the Maguerites. There will also be stalls, sideshows, and children’s amusements on offer.

This year’s Sunday School Queen will be Sophie Broome and the Junior Rose Queen will be Annabel Yates.

John Lomas, field day secretary, said: “We are expecting a turnout of more than 400 people depending on the weather. “We are definitely hoping for sunshine.”

The procession will begin at Greville Drive at 1.30pm and will arrive at the Holy Trinity Church at 2.30pm.

Admission is 50p and everyone is welcome.
