New skate ramp opened
SKATERS can hone their skills on a new double pipe ramp outside Winsford Lifestyle Centre, thanks to a Former E-Act Academy pupil who campaigned for its creation.
Josh Ackers, who now attends Mid Cheshire College, organised a petition for the facility to be built while he was at high school.
His skater friends and Winsford Town Council backed the scheme, which was supported by Cheshire West and Chester Council (CWAC) CWAC Clr Stuart Parker welcomed the ramps addition to an area that also offers angling facilities.
Town Clt Stephen Burns added said the ramp was ‘good news for the young people of Winsford’.
Josh said: “The Skate Park is a brilliant success and thanks to everyone who signed the petition which led to its creation.”
