Council gives a lift with jobs fair
7:30am Sunday 9th September 2012 in News By Matthew Taylor
A FREE bus service from Winsford will be available to transport people to a jobs fair this month.
The Cheshire West and Chester Council (CWAC) employment roadshow takes place at Northwich Memorial Hall between 10am-3pm on Thursday, September 13.
The jobs fair aims to help the unemployed and recent graduates find work.
CWAC skills staff, Job Centre Plus, colleges and voluntary organisations will be taking part in the fair.
Clr Herbert Manley, executive member for prosperity, said: “The event will offer a range of skills for job seekers.
“Workshops will include CV writing, how to improve interview skills, confidence building, and we are hoping that there will be a range of employment opportunities from businesses attending the event.
“Please come along – we aim to make the event as informative as possible so that people looking for employment can gain or improve the skills they need for the job market.”
To register for one of the workshops, visit skillsopportunityandemploymentevent.eventbrite.com Two free bus services will leave Winsford Lifestyle Centre at 9.30am and 12noon, with second pickups at Morrisons at 9.40am and 12.10pm.
Return journeys will leave at 11.30am and 2pm.
