Housing trust Careline recognised for fifth year running

A SERVICE that gives around the clock support to vulnerable people in Winsford has been recognised for its quality of service for the fifth year running.

Weaver Vale Careline, run by Weaver Vale Housing Trust, has been accredited by the Telecare Services Association– the UK’s quality standards body for telecare services.

The trust’s Careline technology helps users lead more independent lives, by placing sensors and other safety equipment in their homes.

Services include fall and flood detectors, smoke alarms and devices that detect if someone has been out of bed or a chair for an unusual period of time.

The award follows an audit of Weaver Vale’s 24-hour Careline service, which is staffed year-round by a team of care professionals.

Martin Jones, new business manager in assistive technology for Weaver Vale Careline, said he was ‘delighted that our efforts have been recognised with this award for the fifth year in a row.’
