WINSFORD Covered Market has launched a new website, providing traders with their own online space to advertise available stock and detail special offers.
Niel Hodkinson, chair of Winsford market traders, said the website was a way of fighting back in troubling economic times.
He said: “Traders felt that if shoppers were not coming to the market, then the market would have to go to them.
“Having set up the site it has certainly emphasised the fact that there are lots of products and services at the market that it is difficult to find anywhere else locally. It’s a standing joke that if traders had a fiver for every time someone had said ‘I've looked everywhere for one of these’, they would be sat on a beach counting their fortune.”
Winsford market provides Wi Fi facilities for traders and visitors.
