Two weeks of fundraising in memory of schoolboy

A FORTNIGHT of fundraising has raised more than £4,000 for the Anthony Nolan Trust.

A sponsored 12-mile walk around Whitegate, bag pack and gala night was organised in memory of Andrew Taylor, a schoolboy from Winsford who died 12 years ago after being diagnosed leukaemia.

Andrew’s mum Sue Taylor and best friend Wendy Cain have worked tirelessly since to raise thousands of pounds for the Anthony Nolan Trust, which supports children needing blood stem cell transplants.

Wendy said: “This year we have manage to raise just over £4,300. We had a great turn-out for the walk and the gala was an absolute sell-out once again.

“We are already planning next year’s event but we just want to thank all the people in Winsford who donated this year.

“We also want to thank people in Middlewich too who have supported us each time.”
