YOUNG entrepreneurs from a school in Winsford have come up with an innovative way to fund a fun day out.
Year six pupils from the Grange Primary School have agreed to earn their place on board the bus to Alton Towers by holding a car wash for parents, staff and residents on Saturday, June 11.
Pupils Louis Bennett and Tom Carruthers say drivers won’t get a better deal anywhere else.
“It’s £3 a car which is much cheaper than taking your car to the supermarket,” said Louis, aged 10.
“And it’s people doing the work, not a machine, so we won’t miss a spot.”
Tom added: “It was my idea to go to Alton Towers, and we are trying to raise as much as we can for the mini bus to take us there.
“There is only one person who doesn’t want to go but I’m sure if we can persuade parents to let us wash their cars we can persuade him to come too.”
Anybody wanting their car washed on June 11 should arrive at the school between 9am and 12pm.
The school will also be selling raffle tickets on the day with a first prize signed football shirt up for grabs.
