Robbers target woman by Winsford Cross Shopping Centre

POLICE are hunting two men who tried to rob a woman in broad daylight in Winsford Town Centre.

A 49-year-old local woman was walking down an alleyway next to the multi-storey car park at 2pm on Monday when the men grabbed hold of her handbag.

She struggled and her attackers lost their grip and ran off.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "Fortunately she was not injured as a result of the incident but she was left shaken and in shock."

Her attackers are described as Asian males aged between 30 and 40. Both were wearing dark hoodies and one was wearing padded gloves.
