TWO Winsford teenagers charged in connection with the road death of student Ashley O'Brien have appeared in court.
The pair, aged 16 and 17, were released on bail following the hearing at Vale Royal Youth Court today, Wednesday.
The 16-year-old, thought to have been the driver, is charged with causing death by dangerous driving; causing death by driving whilst disqualified, causing death whilst uninsured and aggravated vehicle-taking resulting in an accident resulting in death.
The 17-year-old is charged with allowing himself to be carried in a stolen vehicle when an accident occurred resulting in death.
Both must return on August 26, when the case will be committed to Crown Court.
Ashley, of Collingtree Avenue, Winsford, was killed as he walked home along Road One at 1.35am on January 31.
The former Verdin High School pupil was in collision with a red Corsa which was later found abandoned at the roundabout at the Northwich end of Road One.
