A WINSFORD nursery nurse is furious after vandals caused £300 worth of damage to her new car.
The woman, who did not wish to be named for fear of reprisals, saved for months to buy a Citreon C2 and left it parked in Woodlark Close at 7.30pm on Friday.
But when she returned she was horrified to find someone had gauged at the paintwork on both sides with a key.
She said: “I was so pleased with my new purchase and was glad that I had spent my hard earned money on a car I was proud of.
“But mindless thugs clearly decided it would be fun to try and destroy it. I feel very upset, and wonder what satisfaction such selfish destructiveness may possibly achieve.
“I am a nursery nurse so as you can imagine it took a long time to earn the money for the car. I will now live in angst of such selfishness occuring again.”
Anyone with information about the damage can call Cheshire Police on 0845 458 0000 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
