This weekend, the streets of Clitheroe will be be packed as crowds enjoy the annual Ribble Valley jazz and Blues Festival.
But the town is no stranger to hosting mass events as these photos from the archive show.
We have gone back to the 1990s when the Clitheroe Heritage Fair was a big attraction.
It gave local charities the opportunity to hold stalls on the streets raising money for a variety of good causes. And street entertainers would provide additional reasons to head into Clitheroe.
The majority of pictures are from 1991 when the weather was far from kind but it didn’t stop people from enjoying themselves.
If you have taken part in any open air events in Clitheroe over the years, we’d love to share any photos you may have with Looking Back readers.
You can email them with details to bygones@nqnw.co.uk or leave a comment.
