Winsford Colts Athletic under 15s has received a £400 donation from homebuilder Taylor Wimpey North West towards new kits for the next two seasons.

The youth team, which has more than 15 players, has recently been promoted to the first division in the Mid-Cheshire Youth League.

Rob Cook, manager of Winsford Colts Athletic under 15s, said: “We’re very thankful to Taylor Wimpey for this generous donation.

“We teach our players important life lessons such as hard work, dedication and teamwork and brand new kits definitely help to encourage the players.

“The team looks great in the new kit and they’re looking forward to wearing it out on the pitch.”

Stuart Craig, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey North West, said: “There’s nothing better than knowing you’re helping to support and shape the next generation of sporting talent which is why we try to work with as many local teams as we can.
