MEMBERS of a Winsford-based theatre group are busy rehearsing for their upcoming show in November.

Following the success of their last show, actors from Vale Royal Musical Theatre are getting ready for their pantomime ‘Robin Hood’ which will be performed at Winsford Academy from Thursday, November 22, until Saturday, November 24.

Director Sally Ross said: “We have working on this now since our last show closed curtains I at the end of June and the cast of talented actors from Northwich and Winsford are really excited to be bringing the story to life.

“We wanted to continue our recent trend of pantomimes as we have now built up a bit of a following from people who regularly come along and enjoy them with their family.

“Robin Hood is not the same as other traditional fairy-tale stories that people are used to seeing in this format, but we have a wonderful script and have adapted it to feature all the panto favourites like the Dame, the villain and plenty of audience participation.”

The theatre team celebrated 50 years of entertaining audiences from Winsford and the surrounding areas last year and are keen to continue that record with an evening which promises to be ‘an all-round night of laughs, joy and entertainment for adults and children alike’ according to Sally.

The group recently held a production of the classic ‘Sleeping Beauty’ tale – which Sally also directed – and received a nomination for ‘Best Pantomime’ from NODA District 8.
