THIS weekend Winsford Fire Station will be opening its doors to the public for an event that promises something for everyone.

A range of activities offer fun for all the family at the fire station in Sadler Road from 11am to 3pm on Saturday, July 21.

Operational and firefighter demonstrations will take place throughout the day.

Paul Watts, Winsford Fire Station manager, said: "This is a great way for the community to discover more about their local fire station and learn about some of the work we undertake.

"You will also get the opportunity to meet some of the hard working on-call firefighters, who provide around the clock cover to help keep the community safe.

"We would like as many people as possible to come along to our open day, have a great time and leave with some vital fire and road safety messages."

There will also be a range of vintage and modern fire engines on display, a smoke tent, a climbing wall and a variety of community stands.

The Fire Fighters Charity, St Luke’s Hospice, Blood Bikes and North West Ambulance Service will all have a stand.
