Officers needed breathing apparatus to help tackle the fire
A DOG had to be rescued by firefighters as they tackled a house fire in Winsford.
At around 10am today, Monday, officers from Winsford and Crewe were called to the scene of a property on fire in Carlisle Close, Winsford.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet and a main jet to fight the fire which was on the first floor of a semi-detached home.
Firefighters also checked the neighbouring property for any signs of fire damage.
A fire investigation is underway to determine the cause.
