A WINSFORD supermarket and fast food chain teamed up to host a charity bag packing event which raised hundreds of pounds for a children's hospital charity.

Crew members at the Winsford McDonald's resturant, in Nat Lane, raised more than £200 for their charity 'Ronald McDonald House' (RMHC) by helping Morrisons shoppers pack up their bags at the checkout last week.

Rebecaa Ashbrook, an assistant manager from the branch, was joined by her team at the supermarket - which is on the same retail park as their store - from 10am until 1pm on Monday, June 4.

She said: "Thank you to all the Morrisons team and customers for supporting us. Also, a massive thanks to my team who work hard and do a fantastic job all year round helping to raise money for such a wonderful charity."

The group - who included Danielle Greenwood, Lauren Tomlinson, Callum Gooley and Poppy Nash - raised money for the Ronald McDonald House Charity, which offers accomodation where parents of youngsters spending time in hospital can stay close by and free of charge.
