CHESHIRE Fire and Rescue Service is looking to recruit young people from the Winsford area

onto the next Prince's Trust course.

The free programme, which starts on Tuesday, May 29, is a 12-week course that gives people between the ages of 16 and 25 the opportunity to learn new skills, complete qualifications and gain greater self-confidence.

Nichola Griffiths, programme manager, said: “Anyone who takes part will get to meet new people, improve their confidence and develop employability skills. They will also gain qualifications such as first aid and get to attend a graduation event at the end of the programme.

“You may know someone who would benefit from taking part in the programme or have a family member who is stuck in a bit of a rut. If so, then please give us a call to find out more.”

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service has had a long, strong and proud partnership with The Prince's Trust for 25 years and continues to see the benefits that arise from the work it does.

The programme aims to move young people into full time employment and job-related training.

During the course, the team will take part in several activities to graduate from the programme. these include raising money to complete a community project, food hygiene, health and safety, driving awareness training and attending a four-day residential with team building activities

Experience shows that 80 per cent of all programme graduates have gone on to further education or gaining employment and training.
