FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a house in Wharton Road, where a fire broke out in the early hours of the morning.

Firefighters attended from both Winsford and Northwich to find a shed alight and fire spreading to a nearby fence at almost 1am on Tuesday morning.

A hose reel and covering jet were used to put out the blaze.

The crews were in attendance for just over two and a half hours and everyone inside the properties were safely accounted for.

At a similar time, officers from Winsford were called to tackle a small fire at the side of a road in Mount Pleasant Drive, using a hose reel.
