CUBS from the Darnhall Cub Scout Group were taught about homebuilding and interior design at a local development.

Children, aged between eight and ten, learnt about interior design and what goes into decorating a home as part of their DIY badge in Charlotte Place in Winsford.

James Griffith, sales manager, and Christopher Watts, marketing executive, gave the youngsters a tour of the show home and inspired the children to design their own wallpaper.

The cubs explored the development and discussed how the show home could inspire their future houses once they have grown up.

The interior design visit is just one of the ways in which David Wilson Homes North West and the Darnhall Cubs are working together, with another trip to finish their DIY badge booked in for later this year.

Christopher said: “The purpose of this visit was to help the Darnhall Cub Scouts work towards their DIY badge.

“We wanted to show the children all the options available to homebuyers when they purchase a new property and all the different finishes and styles on offer.

“We are very much looking forward to having the cubs back to complete the DIY badge in the near future.”

Cathy Bland, Darnhall Cub Scout leader said: “The Cubs thoroughly enjoyed their visit and can’t wait to go back again.

“They got so involved designing their own wallpaper that they didn’t want to go home! They really liked the little money box houses they were given.”
