RETAIL property manager JLL has been appointed to run Winsford Cross shopping centre by Cheshire West and Chester Council.
The council acquired the 200,000 sq ft centre for £19.75 million last month as part of plans for a town centre regeneration.
JLL will oversee day-to-day operations at the site, and is recruiting a centre manager for strategic leadership, business management and operational management.
Jordan Jeffery, head of JLL’s retail management team, said: “Winsford is set to go through some exciting changes over the next few years, with inward investment from many sectors supporting its regeneration.”
Mr Jeffrey added that the ‘ambitious masterplan’ would make for an enhanced shopping experience.
Councillor Brian Clarke said that the purchase of the site would unlock the town centre for improvements.
