WHILE some of us are still picking pine needles out of the living room carpet, Winsford Town Council is looking ahead to December by offering a Christmas Lights tender.
Tenders for the erection, maintenance and dismantling of the council lights in Winsford High Street, part of Dene Drive, and from the River Weaver Gyratory to the roundabout adjacent to the Top House, are now invited via the town clerk.
Further, a 9 metre Christmas tree with LED string lights is to be installed at the junction of the High Street and the Old High Street.
The switch-on is planned for Friday, November 30, with lights on from 4pm to 11pm each night until January 6.
Applications are open until March 21, and should be delivered in a sealed envelope to the town clerk.
