Now in its third year, the wellbeing week – led by town councillor and midwife Alisa Gaskill-Jones – offers information and advice as well as varied activities.

Cllr Gaskill-Jones, chairman of the Wellbeing Winsford Hub, said: “Wellbeing Winsford Week is all about providing opportunities for healthy living. It a great opportunity for the Winsford community to take part in new activities, meet different people and find out how to live a healthy lifestyle in the future.

“I would like to thank everyone who has helped to arrange this event and for providing many free sessions which means that lots of activities are accessible to everyone.

“We have worked really hard to publicise the event even more this year and I hope that we will see a good turnout and celebrate the excellent community spirit and partnership working that we have here in Winsford.”

With everything from line dancing and Tai Chi to lung health tests and baby first aid, the week also includes a Wellbeing Fair at Winsford Cross on Friday and Saturday.

Supported by Winsford Town Council and Cheshire West and Chester Council, the hub’s more than 25 partners include churches, health bodies and Weaver Vale Housing Trust.

Cllr Mike Kennedy, town mayor, said: “As you can see from the full week’s programme, members of the Wellbeing Winsford Hub have worked extremely hard to arrange, promote and deliver events and initiatives which are not only fun but informative too.

“Therefore, I really hope that the community will get behind us, come along and speak to our health and wellbeing professionals and try new things to help them lead a healthy and long life.”
