A 38-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested and released under investigation in connection with an assault on a postman days before Christmas.
Royal Mail suspended deliveries following the incident at 2.30pm on December 21 in Brecon Way.
A spokesman at Cheshire Police said: “Officers were called to reports that a postman had been assaulted in Brecon Way.
“Officers attended and found that the postman had sustained concussion and a cut to his upper lip as a result of the incident.
“The man was taken to Leighton Hospital for treatment and has since been released.
“Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 517 of December 21.”
