AN application has been submitted to build a six house mixed development in Winsford.

The full planning application, which has been submitted to Cheshire West and Chester Council, by the agent HOW Planning, on behalf of the applicant Taylor Wimpey North West, on a site known as Spring Croft.

The site forms part of a wider site that has outline planning permission for a development of 180 homes granted in 2014. The site is at the rear of 51 to 103 Chester Road.

The reason for the application is to redesign the sales areato exhibit the majority of house types proposed across both the development sites.

In a supporting planning statement, the agent states, that Spring Croft has a good bus service with stops along Chester Road, Foxfield Lane and Delamere Street.

The latest application consists of one three bedroom semi-detached mews house, three three bedroom semi-detached, one four bedroom semi-detached house and one four bedroom detached house.

The agent adds: “A high quality suite of modern andcontemporary house types has been chosen for the site that provides a variedbut consistent design approach to the use of materials, fenestration andbuilding rooflines.”

“The proposed dwellings are similar in scale to that of the surrounding residential area and include a range of sizes and prices to create a balanced mix of family dwellings to meet the needs of the local market.”

The proposed dwellings are the same house types as were approved for the 180 homes development in 2014.
