A WINSFORD singer-songwriter has released her first single.

Joelle Edwards, from Dene Drive, self produced acoustic-based pop track ‘A Little More’ over the course of 12 months.

The 20-year-old Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts student recorded and refined the mid-tempo song in her flat, which she turned into a make-shift studio, and released it on September 10.

Her music covers a variety of genres including pop, acoustic, folk and indie.

She said: “This is such an exciting time and I can’t wait to see what people think of it.

“I’ve produced this from start to finish by myself. I’ve spent hours in my room working away and found spare time at any point to get it to sound right.

“I’m constantly writing and they’re mainly accounts of my life but this is the first time I have released anything to the public.

“The themes in this project include love, lust, heartbreak, and adventure-filled stories wrapped up in infectious, fresh pop.

“I can’t wait to see what the future holds. I’ve got aspirations to do this professionally so I’ve just got to keep working hard and see what happens."

Joelle began writing at the age of 13 and has made appearances at a number of Winsford music venues, such as the Red Lion and De Bees, under different stage names and with bands.

She also performed live on BBC Introducing during her second year of college, after which she was accepted into LIPA.

Once she moved to Liverpool, the singer began work on her solo-project, Almost Autumn, and set about writing accounts of her life.

She is currently in her third year studying for a music degree.

Joelle will be releasing more music in 2018.
