PROUD mum Michelle Buckley has praised her son for having his head shaved for charity.
Kieren Buckley, 12, raised more than £70 for Macmillan Cancer Support by sacrificing his hair.
The head shave was part of the nationwide Brave the Shave fundraiser, and took place at Patron Barber in Winsford.
Kieren lives in Winsford, and is a student at The Winsford Academy.
“Kieren’s gran Doreen Cooper died from cancer, and he suggested taking part in Brave for Shave,” said Michelle.
“His target was £50, but he ended up raising more than £70 in sponsorship from his family and friends – I’m very proud of him.”
The head shave was undertaken free of charge by Dean Hildrop, the owner of Patron Barber.
“Macmillan Cancer Support is close to my heart, as I have someone in my family who has been affected by cancer,” he said.
