A DOG that was thrown from a moving vehicle is looking for a new owner who lives in a rural area after making a full recovery.

In December of last year, two Lurchers, Boris and Sally were seen being thrown from a moving vehicle in the Warrington area.

A member of the public alerted the RSPCA and when they arrived Boris could barely stand as he was so dehydrated and emaciated, on top of the wounds he sustained in the incident.

A fundraising campaign by Warrington Animal Welfare helped towards the veterinary costs for their recuperation.

Sally recovered quickly and was rehomed within weeks.

Boris had many open wounds and skin injuries, which took much longer to heal.

Warrington Animal Welfare has now launched an appeal to find a new home for Boris, ideally in a rural location.

Because of his size and strength, the charity feels Boris would benefit from having an owner who has experience of large breeds. A home without children would also be ideal.

While he can mix with other dogs, he cannot be rehomed anywhere near cats or any other small furry animals due to his natural instincts.
